Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager post in the West Locality. The West locality covers community services for Gloucester and the Forest of Dean. You will cover Recovery Teams 1&3, currently at Albion Chambers, Gloucester.

Recovery Gloucester is structured as 3 teams. Each individual team has a Consultant Psychiatrist and specific nursing & support staff. The overall team is multidisciplinary and has occupational therapists and social workers deployed across the three teams.

The post is supported by the Team 2 Team manager, who also has responsibility for Assertive Outreach that are based on site. The West Locality Social Care Specialist is based on site and offers professional support and supervision to the social workers.

All services will be moving to the new Gloucester Hub on great Western Road. This will provide the successful candidate opportunity for integrated care working and new initiatives within the locality.

There will be opportunity for development both of the service and individuals skills. The post holder will be supported in the National Leadership program as required.

The ideal candidate will need:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership qualities
  • Abilities to manage a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience of managing and leading clinical staff.

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.

A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes is essential. For qualifying staff the Trust has a Lease Car Scheme in place.

We offer the option of relocation costs for suitable external applicants who are appointed from out of area (subject to the Trusts relocation policy).
