Community Physiotherapist - Oswestry

Job Description

Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust is an exciting place to work. It offers a wide range of employment opportunities for many people.

Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust positively encourages applications from all areas of the community, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or religious beliefs. We are committed to ensuring people who work for the community trust have a good working life - and a good work life/home life balance.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Physiotherapist with physiotherapy experience in a variety of clinical settings within the NHS and with experience in a community setting to join the Interdisciplinary Team in Oswestry.

You will be part of a team of health professionals, supporting patients in their own homes to maximise their independence and autonomy.

You will hold HCPC Registration, have a degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy, and have excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Applicants should note that where it is deemed that a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required, it will be the applicants responsibility to cover the cost of the check and payment must be made in advance for all bank positions.

The Trust supports a no smoking policy.

Childcare voucher schemes and subsidised childcare support is available to parents.

Staff who are new to the NHS will normally start on the bottom increment of the payscale advertised.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship (formerly a Work Permit)

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

UK Registration

Applicants must have current UK professional registration. For further information please see applying from overseas.
