Coventry Recovery Team based at Swanswell Point, Stoney Stanton Road.
We have a vacancy in the Community Recovery Team for an experienced Community Psychiatric Nurse. The team work with service users with psychotic illnesses across the city of Coventry and are based at Swanswell Point.
The Trust has recently reconfigured their Secondary Care Mental Health Community Services. These services are arranged around individual needs into three integrated Practice Units (IPU) based on the national care clusters - non-psychosis (3-8), psychosis (10-17), and organic (18-21).
We have an opportunity for a nurse, who would like to join our large team that works across the whole of Coventry. The successful applicant will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team including a large number of other nurses, doctors, support workers, occupational therapists, social workers and psychologists to deliver recovery focussed interventions in the community. This includes care co-ordination under the Care Programme Approach and generic roles in the team such as new patient assessments and duty as well as specific nursing tasks. You will receive regular support and supervision from the Management and Leadership team.
We utilise the FACT and Recovery models to deliver multi-disciplinary responsive care to our service users. A working knowledge / understanding of these models are preferable.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can work confidently on their own as well as supporting the team. Good communication and problem solving skills are essential, as well as knowledge of mental illness and the challenges this brings in daily life. You also need to be a driver with access to a car that can be used for business purposes. We also are looking for people who can demonstrate the Trust’s vision and values in practice, and are motivated to be involved in innovation and service development.
The role has the expectation of managing and / or supervising junior staff and providing leadership for the team, your leadership skills will also be assessed in interview.
