Due to retirements, an opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and experienced RMN’s to work within the Neighbourhood Team at South Derbyshire & Dales.
The post involves the provision of care to service users using a recovery focus. The post holder will carry out comprehensive evidence based assessments and treatments using a range of appropriate interventions, based on local and national guidelines. You will need a thorough knowledge of the care programme approach and be able to demonstrate expertise in risk assessment and management working in a community setting.
The post will entail being a care co-ordinator, working with people who are experiencing severe and enduring mental ill health. It is essential that you have good communication skills and can operate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team maintaining a person central focus. A component to the role will be being able to provide a comprehensive mental health assessment utilising appropriate information gathering skills.
As a lead nurse, you will demonstrable RMN post registration experience and be able to demonstrate post registration study and development. You will need to demonstrate expertise around NMC nurse competencies.
You will be expected to be a role model, offering mentoring and supervision to Band 5 staff and students. You will need to have the ability to transport yourself and service users across a wide geographical area without compromising service needs.

The cost of undertaking a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service formerly known as CRB) disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure which will be deducted from your first month’s salary. The current price of a standard check is £26 and an enhanced check is £44.
