Job Description

Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was established as a NHS Trust in 2011, and as a NHS Foundation Trust in November 2014. POST: Community Staff Nurse - District Nursing OOH

HOURS: Various Hours/Week (Evenings and Nights)

BASE: Warrington

Applications are invited for the posts of Community Staff Nurse to join the District Nursing Teams in Bridgewater - Out of hours Service

You will work under the direction of the District Nursing Sister delivering personal care, clinical interventions and palliative care to patients on the district nursing caseload.

Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work autonomously as well as part of a Team.

We offer opportunities to develop both clinical and professional skills to effectively manage the care of patients in their own homes. Equally, experience can be gained in the management of a variety of conditions from diagnosis, promotion of self management to more complex chronic conditions and end of life care.

The District Nursing Service is committed to supporting personal development and training and you will undertake a thorough induction and orientation to the service.

If the advertised post requires a DBS check the successful candidate will incur the cost of the DBS check which will be taken in three equal monthly instalments from salary.

The Trust has taken the decision to recharge successful candidates for the cost of their DBS disclosure. This post requires a(n) Enhanced / Standard DBS disclosure. The current price of this is £44/£26. The Trust will pay the initial costs, which will be recovered, in installments, from your first three salary payments.
