We currently have a vacancy within our Community Nursing Team based at Blackthorns Medical Centre, Maidstone for a Community Staff Nurse. The team cover both town and rural practice population and are based within the town.
This is a full-time post, but part time hours will be considered.
Our community nurses work closely with members of the wider multi-disciplinary teams, including our GP’s, local Hospices, Complex Care nurses, Health and Social Care Coordinators, Specialist nurses and Therapist colleagues. The teams are also supported by our Rapid Response team, and utilize our community hospitals for patients' rehabilitation.
Your responsibilities will be:
• To visit patients in their own homes as well as residential care homes and provide a comprehensive range of clinical nursing activities.
• Administer IV drugs, complex wound management, health promotion and medicines management, End of life care, and symptom controls, as well as a high standard of holistic assessment and care planning are examples of the sort of skills you would need to demonstrate, or be willing to learn as a Community Staff Nurse.

The service responds to the nursing needs of patients of all ages, therefore you will be required to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills. You must be able to travel around the Trust in a timely manner.
