Community Staff Nurse

Job Description

South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (SEPT) has been voted one of the top 100 places to work in the NHS and we have an overall CQC rating of 'Good'. We are one of the most successful NHS Foundation Trusts in the country providing integrated care including mental health, learning disability, social care and community services to culturally and economically diverse communities across Bedfordshire and Essex. We employ approximately 4,500 people and work with a wide range of partners to 'provide services that are in tune with you'.

We are a responsive, innovative and dynamic Foundation Trust delivering leading edge health services in a constantly changing environment. We work with a wide range of partner organisations to deliver care and support to people in their own homes and from a number of hospital and community based premises. We have many modern community based resource centres and community facilities to provide local services to local people where possible.

Unlike acute hospital services, Community Health Services, mental health and learning disability services are mainly provided in community settings with defined geographical localities. As a result we operate from various locations across Bedfordshire and Essex.

We are looking for ambitious, dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 nurses to join our Community Nursing teams in Bedfordshire.

This highly respected team delivers responsive high quality nursing to patients in their own homes.

We are passionate about patient centered care, support our nurses to lead and deliver excellent and compassionate nursing and value our clinical teams as the real heart of the NHS.

Our Trust is known for offering excellent training, personal development programmes, supportive coaching and competency frameworks; all to support enhanced skills and career development which meet the goals and aspirations of the individual.

If you want a career which brings a new challenge every day, gives you the opportunity to test your ability to think quickly, solve problems, assess and treat patients then Community Nursing could be the team for you.

Experience in the field of adult community services is desirable but a willingness to learn and contribute is more important. The Community Nursing Service operates between 0800 to 2200 hours and successful candidates will work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Access to a car in order to carry out service duties is essential.

Positions: Community Staff Nurse (Full time and Part time positions)
