Job Description

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust was formed in 2006 and became integrated with NHS Coventry in April 2011.

The Trust provides a full range of expanding physical, mental health and learning disability services to children, young adults, adults and older adults over many sites across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.

Services are provided to a population of over one million people living in Coventry and Warwickshire and also a wider geographical area in some of our specialist services, we see on average around 5,000 patients every day.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust reconfigured their Secondary Care Mental Health services forming Integrated Practice Units (IPU) in 2014. IPU’s are arranged around individual needs based on the national care clusters: Non Psychosis (clusters 3-8), Psychosis (clusters 10-17) and Organic (clusters 18-21).

We have an opportunity for a Band 3 Community Support Worker to join the North Warwickshire & Rugby Community IPU 3-8 team.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they can work effectively as part of a multi disciplinary team but also be able to show that they can work independently.

We are seeking candidates that have experience of working with service users with anxiety, depression, personality disorder and other mental health difficulties which fall under the care of IPU 3 – 8.

The role will include delivering goal focused and time limited interventions as either a stand-alone approach or as part of a planned intervention alongside care coordination. Interventions will include social inclusion, co-facilitation of group work, graded exposure within a cognitive behavioural approach and psycho-education.

Applicants should be thorough, boundaried and confident practitioners. They will be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and exhibit behaviours that reflect Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust vision and values.
