Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust are seeking to appoint full time Consultant Physicians in Acute Medicine to join an enthusiastic and established team of 8 Consultants in the Acute Medical Unit at East Surrey Hospital and to work in partnership with other Specialist Medical teams throughout the trust.
Successful applicants will form an expanded team of twelve whole time equivalent Consultants in Acute Medicine and will be based at East Surrey Hospital. The department of Acute Medicine is currently expanding to develop future hospital services in line with RCP guidance across the trust and there are opportunities for applicants with special interests. Our consultants have previously worked with specialist interests in Diabetes & Endocrinology, Stroke, Geriatric and Respiratory as well as specialist skills such as echocardiography and ultrasound.
Our trust works closely with Brighton & Sussex Medical School and our hospital is an Associate teaching hospital leading to opportunities for education and research. We pride ourselves on being innovative and focussing on quality and safety.
We are looking for applicants with a wide experience in Acute and General Internal Medicine who enjoy teamwork, innovation and teaching to join our friendly department and help us to continue to deliver great acute medical care to our patients and train the next generation of clinicians.
