CHESTERFIELD ROYAL HOSPITAL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST
CONSULTANT PHYSICIAN ACUTE MEDICINE – 2 posts – full time
Chesterfield Royal is pleased to advertise 2 consultant posts in Acute Medicine to take our compliment to 6. This is to enable us to provide first class care to our patients with early input from a senior doctor, rapid signposting to the best clinical area and to further develop services such as our medical short stay ward and ambulatory care unit. This expansion in consultant numbers goes along with a planned major redesign of the whole of the urgent care pathway and a capital investment in both the Emergency Department and the Acute Medical Wards. It is genuinely an exciting time to come and work in acute medicine in Chesterfield.
Chesterfield Royal is a forward thinking Foundation Trust, always striving to improve services. It is set in a great location, being an attractive market town close to the major cities of Nottingham and Sheffield and only 10 minutes travelling time from the PeakDistrictNational Park, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Please see the job description for further details about our hospital and department. Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to get in touch to discuss how you could be part of our future plans.
Applicants for the post should ideally hold a CCT in Acute Medicine but those with General Internal Medicine and appropriate acute medical experience are also welcome to apply (or be within six months of receiving a CCT at the date of interview).
