With a budget of around £270m, three hospitals and 5,500 staff, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based services to the population of Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and parts of East Durham and Sedgefield as well as community, therapeutic and screening to a wider population across Durham and Teesside.

MED3889Consultant Cardiologist North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust In Hospital Care Directorate Consultant Cardiologist With expertise in Cardiac Imaging Applications are invited for a substantive post of Consultant Cardiologist to work within the Trust in the University Hospitals of North Tees and Hartlepool. North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is a progressive, forward thinking organisation, providing acute and community services to the population of Stockton-on Tees, Hartlepool, East Durham and the surrounding areas including a large part of Sedgefield, with a budget of £141 million and 4770 employees. The successful applicant will contribute to the specialist Cardiology services of the Trust in both in-patient and out-patient settings. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing dedicated team of cardiologists committed to providing cardiac services, and specifically cardiac imaging to the very highest standard across the region. The post holder, together with existing imaging cardiologists will drive the development and provision of cardiac imaging services with a particular focus on supporting expansion of cardiac MRI and CT. The post will be offered for 10 PA’s under the Terms and Conditions of Service for Consultants (England) 2003. Although the post is tenable on a whole time basis, any applicant who, for personal reasons is unable to work full time will be eligible to be considered for the post. Candidates should be fully registered with the GMC and on the Specialist Register Cardiology (or within 6 months of CCT at interview). This appointment is subject to an Enhanced Level Criminal Records Bureau check.
