Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a world-renowned Cardiothoracic and Transplant hospital with an excellent track record in developing and delivering specialist services.
Applications are invited for a consultant post in Respiratory Medicine with a special interest in Respiratory Support and Sleep Medicine. This post has been developed to support the continued growth of the Respiratory Support and Sleep Centre (RSSC). The successful applicant will work with a large multidisciplinary team, including 5 other Respiratory Physicians, to provide comprehensive care to patients. The clinical work of the unit includes weaning from invasive ventilation, initiation and monitoring of domiciliary ventilation, respiratory and non-respiratory sleep medicine. The sleep service has been internationally recognised for its high quality, comprehensive service with accreditation by the European Sleep Society.
Applicants should have a commitment to teaching, research and continuous professional development appropriate to a leading Centre. The Thoracic Directorate has strong academic links with the University of Cambridge and Addenbrookes’ Hospital Department of Respiratory Medicine. Outstanding opportunities exist for teaching and research.
You must possess the MRCP and a CCT in Respiratory Medicine or be within 6 months of obtaining CCT on the date of the interviews.
