FIFE HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE PARTNERSHIP FIFE WIDE DIVISION LYNEBANK HOSPITAL, DUNFERMLINE / STRATHEDEN HOSPITAL, BY CUPAR PAEDIATRIC/CHILD AND FAMILY PSYCHOLOGY CONSULTANT CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST REF NO: FW230/09/16LB SALARY: £56,665 - £69,860 BANDING: 8C - HOURS: 375 This post is suitable for a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with significant clinical experience working within Paediatrics and/or a Child and Family Psychology Service. The post will suit a clinician with skills and experience in both Paediatrics and Child Mental Health who wishes to apply for the fulltime post. Applications will also be welcomed from clinicians with interest and experience in only one of these areas who wish to be considered for a 05wte post in either Paediatrics or Child and Family Mental Health. The post requires expert managerial, professional and clinical skills, at a time of organisational change. You will take a lead role in the Paediatric and Child and Family Psychology Service working closely with Dr Hilary Maddox, Head of the Child and Family Psychology Service: a specialty of 20 WTE clinical and applied psychologists working in paediatrics, CAMHS, primary care and early years services and specialist teams including child LD, ADHD & ASD. The Child and Family Psychology Service is well-established and has good working relationships with NHS, SW, Education and third sector services working with the same client group. The post requires the knowledge and competency to provide clinical leadership and expert consultancy. The post also requires highly specialist clinical skills. You will be responsible for an individual caseload while providing training, clinical supervision and consultancy to both junior staff and consultant colleagues as required. In addition to responsibilities within the specialty, you will be a member of the Consultant team in the multi-specialty area-wide Psychology Service in Fife and will contribute to the leadership, staff management and clinical governance function of this group. The Psychology Service in Fife has close links with the South East Scotland DClinPsych training course and the Child MSc course at Edinburgh University, as well as good research links with the universities of St. Andrews, Edinburgh, Dundee and Stirling.
