The Dermatology Department at Ashford & St Peter’s is expanding We are seeking applicants to the role of Consultant to provide expertise in general dermatology, skin oncology and minor surgery. There is no on-call commitment with this role.
We are a busy and friendly department providing general, minor surgery and specialist dermatology clinics across North West Surrey. Outpatient clinics are provided at our main hospital sites (St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey (KT16 0PZ) and Ashford Hospital (TW15 3AA) as well as in the community. We also run a day treatment centre at St Peter’s Hospital providing PUVA and UVB treatment and nurse led clinics in skin cancer, minor surgery, Isotretinoin and wound care. We have strong links with the Royal Surrey and St Luke’s Cancer Centre through our specialist MDT meetings and our colleagues in Fax-Fax and Plastics through the local MDT meetings.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team consisting of Consultants, Specialty Doctors, GPSIs and Specialist Nurses supported by a clinical admin office. You will be encouraged to develop your own sub-specialty interests which are complementary to the interests already developed by the members of the department. You will also benefit from continuing professional development via the Royal Society of Medicine and St Johns CPD meetings and our monthly special cases teaching clinic.
It is essential that you possess MRCP (or equivalent training and experience), and are on the GMC Specialist Register, or within six months of obtaining a CCT.
