Job Description
Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist 
Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire
Salary 130K TO 150K – This will be discussed at the interview.

Enabling our patients with mental health difficulties to receive a truly integrated and holistic approach to their treatment, regardless of complexity or severity, thanks to the knowledge and expertise of our multidisciplinary clinical teams. 


This is a medium and low secure service, providing personalised assessment and treatment programmes for male & female service users with complex care needs, histories of offending, along with those who may have failed in previous placements. 


The combination of medium secure and low secure wards, provide a seamless internal care pathway, supporting and empowering service users in their recovery and rehabilitation. At each stage of their recovery pathway, our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively with service users to deliver personalised treatment programmes. Service users are given the opportunity to develop new skills, optimise functioning, and improve quality of life and progress towards the least restrictive setting and to independence. 


They are looking for a high performing individual who possesses strong clinical leadership qualities with the strategic vision to further enhance, develop and shape the clinical services of the hospital.


Applicants should have a CCT in Forensic Psychiatry or be within 3 months of gaining one and / or be on the GMC Specialist Register as a Forensic Psychiatrist. Similarly they must be eligible to be approved as an Approved Clinician. 


Companies Forensic Services provide a programme of educational activities for Doctors, PDP groups are supported and other CPD activities are actively encouraged. All medical staff are members of the Hospital Medical Advisory Committee. They offer 31 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a contributory pension scheme with life insurance, private health insurance and reimbursement of professional indemnity costs.
