The Centre for Community Care is looking to appoint 1 Consultant Gynaecologist with a subspeciality in Gynaecological Oncology..

Our aim is to be an innovative and responsive provider, delivering high quality care so as to make to make a positive difference to our patients and community.

The successful Consultant will work closely with the Clinical Director and Consultants in developing the service strategy and business plan.

We are one of the largest Trusts in England, comprising of the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough and the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton. The James Cook University Hospital is a major tertiary and teaching centre with over 1,000 beds, serving a largely urban population. It provides comprehensive regional specialties including Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT and Ophthalmic Surgery.It is a regional centre for Spinal Injury, Upper GI and Vascular Surgery.All other major specialties are catered for. The Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, serves a population of 120,000 covering 1,000 sq miles of rural North Yorkshire, and provides local medical services for the area.

Recently rated as one of the best in the country for patient safety and one of the top 40 hospitals by CHKS for the tenth year running.

Applicants should possess full GMC registration, MRCP (or equivalent) and either already be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of receiving their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at the time of interview.

The successful candidate will be appointed under the current terms and conditions of service for NHS Consultants. Full consideration will be given to applicants who wish to apply for a reduced/part time contract.
