The Wirral area, with a population of 380,000 is served by Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge hospitals (sited 5 miles apart), which provide most of the acute hospital services in the locality. The successful applicant will join our team of 11 consultants based at Arrowe Park.
The Wirral peninsula is home to 350,000 people, and offers a superb work-life balance. Flanked by the rivers Dee and Mersey, the peninsula is a combination of semi-rural and urban areas, with attractive housing, educational and recreational opportunities. There is an excellent transport infrastructure, with links to Liverpool, Chester, Manchester, and North Wales. The hospital is within 20 minutes’ drive of nearly all popular residential areas.
This substantive opportunity has arisen due to the re-location of an existing colleague. The Job Plan is adult critical care orientated, with applications considered for Intensivists from an Anaesthetic background, with facility to provide duties within the parent specialties.
