We are looking for ambitious Consultants to join one of the largest providers of integrated health care in the UK.

We are research-driven, working in close partnership with Swansea University, its College of Medicine and the Institute of Life Sciences.
These are new post joining a compliment of 10 Consultants responsible for the provision of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Cardiac Critical Care services to the LHB.
You will join a subspecialist group of seven substantive consultants with an interest in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and a further three substantive consultants who have a sub-speciality interest in Cardiothoracic Critical Care within the department. The posts will involve sessions at Morriston Hospital on a regular basis.
The Swansea Cardiothoracic Unit is contracted to perform 750 cardiac surgical procedures and 200 thoracic surgical procedures per annum for a population that stretches from the South Wales valleys region to the coastline of mid-and west Wales.
The work comprises a combination of coronary revascularization, valve replacement/repair, major aortic surgery and other minimally invasive procedures such as TAVI. The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit is imminently due to expand from eight to twelve beds as part of a capital build project, whilst the High Dependency Unit comprises eight beds and we are looking for dynamic and highly skilled Consultants in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia to join us in the further development of the Cardiothoracic Anaesthetic Service.
