Weston Area Health Trust Consultant in Emergency Medicine We are looking to appointment a replacement full time permanent Emergency Consultant to join our team at Weston Area Health NHS Trust.
Whilst we may be one of the smallest District General Hospitals in the UK we couldn’t be more committed to delivering the right care in the right place at the right time. The post is advertised as full time 10 sessions per week however once settled into the department there is the opportunity to increase up to 13 sessions.

We embarked on a major transformation programme to change the way we deliver our services through the introduction of clinical best practice across medicine, this has led to significant quality and performance improvements over the last year.
Since the implementation of the model ward and the new Urgent Care Centre, the Emergency Division has seen significant improvement in patient flow, bed occupancy and quality indicators. There is increased job satisfaction for medical and nursing staff through this programme which has emphasised team working and a multidisciplinary approach to top quality care to our patients.
