Job Description

The Trust is committed to providing high quality integrated health and social care for local people with mental health problems in South West London and more specialist mental health services for people throughout the UK.

We are looking for a consultant forensic psychiatrist to join a peer group at the Shaftesbury Clinic medium secure unit. The consultant will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the care and treatment of up 40-50 community patients living in south-west London. The post holder will also provide clinical leadership to the Criminal Justice Liaison Service, and provide a forensic consultancy service to the London Borough of Wandsworth. This post is part-time, for eight Programmed Activities (PAs) per week. This position has become available due a reorganisation of consultant input to the forensic service. Along with consultant and managerial colleagues the successful candidate will occupy a key role in the leadership and the future direction of the service.
