The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is a large multi-site Trust whose ambitious programme to reconfigure services in line with leading national and international care delivery models will be completed during 2016/2017.

This post is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic surgeon with a specialist interest in burn care to join our expanding department of plastic surgery.

The successful candidate will spend a significant part of their time delivering acute and reconstructive surgery for burns. He or she will work as a key member of a large multidisciplinary team offering care to adults who have sustained burn injuries at all levels of severity, and to children with burn injuries up to burn unit level.

A specialist interest in one or more other areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery will provide a varied full-time job plan. It is anticipated that this will include working within the skin cancer MDT.

The appointment will be on the basis of the new consultant contract laid down by the Hospital Medical and Dental Staff Terms and Conditions of Service and will be remunerated as appropriate on the salary scale £76,001 - £102,465 per annum.
