ELHT has been designated as one of the major Vascular Interventional Centres for Lancashire and South Cumbria. We seek an individual who will work closely with the radiology department, integrated care teams and local GPs to develop a streamlined pathway for vascular patients requiring inpatient care in Lancashire.
Applications are invited for one full time Vascular and Endovascular Consultant appointment to join an innovative and dedicated vascular team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. The Trust has recently appointed to an expanded consulting staff, supporting the Trust’s commitment to meeting the arterial centre specification requirements, increasing the level of activity and continuously improving the safe, personal and effective care of all our patients.
The appointee will be expected to provide the full range of vascular and endovascular services and commitment to the vascular emergency on-call is a core part of the role. The post will be based at Royal Blackburn Hospital and the appointee will be responsible for the care of patients referred by General Practitioners and in-patient referrals and will undertake clinics, ward rounds, in-patient care at RBH, day case operating lists on the Burnley site and at clinic sites determined by the job plan.
