Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (WHHFT) are seeking to appoint 2 Consultant Physicians who specialise in Respiratory Medicine and wish to be part of the transformational change required to achieve our vision of High Quality, Safe Healthcare to enable us to create tomorrow’s healthcare today. These posts are vacant and are required to enable us to continue to deliver our current service and support a sustainable 7 day service for acute medical admissions.

If you want to be part of a great team one of the posts may be of interest.As well as general respiratory medicine, the respiratory team provides a fully functional sleep service including provision of auto-CPAP, has ward-based NIV, has state of the art ward-based pleural procedure room with thoracic ultrasound facility, supports lung cancer pathways with recently developed EBUS service, works with an integrated consultant-led community COPD service and in-reaches into the acute medical unit supporting admissions and early senior decision-making.
Warrington is an attractive town situated in Cheshire. It has good local motorway and railway links to the large local cities of Liverpool and Manchester and as such is ideally placed for enjoying the shopping, restaurants and nightlife of these two bustling cities as well as outdoor activities in Chester, North Wales and the Lake & Peak Districts.

Current employees of Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust who have had a satisfactory DBS check, carried out by this Trust during the last 3 years, will not be required to undertake a new one. Where staff have not had a check (classification appropriate to the post offered) within the last 3 years, they will be required to undertake and pay for this, as per the arrangements above.
