Job Description

40 hours (10PA’s) per week plus on-call

£76,001 - £102,465 per annum plus 05PA for on-call and 3% (of a 10PA salary) Category A availability supplement

The Maidstone Community Mental Health Team provides a service to the adult population (18-65 years) in Kent and whose GP practice is in the Maidstone area. The team provides a service to a mixed urban and rural population. The PCT (May 2012) reports the adult population of 18 and over as 183,000.
The Maidstone Community Mental Team (CMHT) is based at heart of the town at Albion Place Medical Centre 23-29 Albion Place Maidstone Kent ME14 5TS with access to town centre and the M20 Junction 6.

The CMHT offers a wide range of services to complicated and multiple needs clients under the standard and enhanced CPA pathways, under statutory S117 aftercare, under CTO’s or restriction orders. Currently the case load is approximately 500 patients.

Applicants should have Specialist Registration with the GMC, as well as Approved Clinician and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act. There is an associated on call commitment.

The successful applicant will be required to have enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

The selection process consists of a presentation to Service Users/Carers and the Advisory Appointments Committee.
