Applications are invited for the above post of Consultant Rheumatologist based at St Richard's Hospital, part of the Western Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (WSHFT). The Trust has recently been rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
The successful candidate will be replacing a retiring colleague to join a combined team of five rheumatologists from both sites of the Trust, Chichester and Worthing, to provide a rheumatology service for WSHFT. The team also includes a Higher Specialist Registrar, 3 Specialist Nurses with additional nursing support and other junior staff. Across the Trust, almost 700 patients are established on biological therapies. This is a busy proactive department providing high quality care for all of our population and receiving recognition from NRAS. The teams work closely together to provide a service across West Sussex.
This post will be based in Chichester with additional clinics in Bognor Regis. Duties involve in-patient review of medical patients, outreach clinics to the local community hospital, and contributing to governance, audit and multi-disciplinary meetings as well as undergraduate and postgraduate education and training.

Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of attaining Specialist Registration at the time of interview. Applications from candidates who, for personal reasons, are unable to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for this post.
