Job Description

Contract Nurse (RNLD) - Adult Learning Disabilities - Cardiff - 3 or 6 months contracts available - up to £21 per hour

Guaranteed 37.5 hours a week

You will be a Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities (RNLD) in Cardiff with experience in a low/medium secure environment (preferably with adults) looking for a short term contract. This is an amazing opportunity for a nurse - RNLD qualified - to join a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to providing high levels of care within a hospital that specialises in an extensive range of psychiatric care for people with mental health conditions and learning difficulties.

As part of your contract role you will be able to be based purely on one ward , but will also have the opportunity to gain experience across many different client groups, which would be great for your future prospects. As a Contact Nurse, you could gain experience across wards such as addictions units, challenging behaviour units, eating disorder units and many other types of mental health units.

This is a great opportunity to work 3 or 4 shifts consecutively in a week and then if you live in other cities then go back home if you wish.

For someone living in Cardiff or South Wales or looking at relocating to the area for 3 or 6 months there is no travel expenses or accommodation provided. Also you would not be able to operate as a limited company and would be contracted to the hospital directly.

As a Contract Nurse (RNLD), you will:

•Support the Unit Manager and take charge in their absence
•Supervise the care given by junior staff
•Promote and maintain high standards of quality care
•Provide on-going training for the support workers

The ideal Contract Nurse (RNLD), you will have:

•A Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities (RNLD) qualification
•A current registration with the NMC
•The legal right to work in the UK
•Up to date knowledge of current practices
•Excellent communication skills
