Cherrywood House in Weston Super Mare provides support for 13 people with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour. Our team works to encourage, support and promote independence for everyone living at at Cherrywood, and we are passionate on building positive outcomes for everyone.
We are extending our team to include 2 part time cooks who can provide a high quality service to our service users through planning, preparation and cooking of meals chosen by the people we support. The successful candidate will ideally have worked in a similar environment and hold Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, together with a catering qualification
The role holder will take full shift responsibility for the catering operation under management instruction and has regular monthly meetings to discuss improvements to all aspects of catering.
Assists the manager by researching and creating new menus ensuring meals are of a high quality and compliment healthy eating guidelines.
You will be allocated to access the local supermarkets to carry out shopping weekly and so a full driving licence is required to utilise the company vehicles.
