An exciting opportunity for a responsive, flexible and dynamic individual to lead the team in the home to provide a dignified and fulfilling life for our residents living with Dementia. Under the direction of the home manager, you will work closely together in effective collaboration to deliver an outstanding service for the residents, and a rewarding environment for staff. The Dementia Lead is responsible for consistently providing the highest standard of dedicated Dementia care and will be a role model for all staff, demonstrating best practice in dementia care at all times. Other key responsibilities include being responsible for keeping accurate records and care planning, leading the clinical care of our residents and providing guidance, training, appraisals and mentor-ship to the care team and nurses. You will understand clearly your responsibilities under the legislative requirements of the sector and in the absence of the Home Manager take charge of the day to day running of the home.

The Dementia Lead position would suit a Senior Nurse with significant elderly mental health care experience, looking to take the next step into a higher level leadership role. Essentially, we're looking for someone who is a dementia specialist combined with excellent clinical skills.
You will already have some proven management and leadership experience involving older people’s care. You are a highly organised, multi tasking, self starter. An effective leader & communicator, who is honest, kind and reassuring. You possess strong IT skills and embrace and lead change management positively. Cherishing the individual needs of residents and their families and putting those needs at the centre of everything you do each day is fundamental to your role. You will be supported with staffing levels recognised as among the best in the care sector.
