A large care home in the Grays area has a vacancy for a Registered Nurse to work as Dementia Unit Lead, providing effective leadership to the dementia care unit.
This service offers a mix of elderly, dementia and disability nursing care to older people with general elderly, dementia and mental health care needs, promoting a safe and stimulating environment for residents to enjoy.
Applicants for this Dementia Unit Lead position should meet the following criteria:
- Qualified and registered as an Adult/General Nurse (RGN) or Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Extensive dementia care experience, ideally within a leadership role although an experienced Staff Nurse looking to take their first step into management will be considered
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Up to date knowledge of best practices of care, CQC requirements, quality standards, DoLS and the MCA
As Dementia Unit Lead, you will take responsibility for the day to day management of the Dementia Unit and will manage and monitor the delivery of high quality care to residents, promoting best practices in all areas of clinical and personal care.
This is a full time role with a 40 hour working week. The highly competitive salary offered is in the region of £32,000 to £35,400 per annum.
