Deputy Clinical Nurse Specialist - Paediatric Dermatology

Job Description

Our Children's Dermatology service leads the way in the care of children and families living with skin disease. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Dermatology to join our specialist multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will work in an outpatient setting, and will also provide support for our in-patients. Our nurses provide holistic care to children with a broad spectrum of skin diseases including eczema, psoriasis, acne, birth marks and also children requiring systemic treatment to control their skin condition.

Supported by the Clinical Nurse Specialist, this role will provide individualised care for children in a dedicated setting, undertaking specialist roles including assisting with skin biopsies, demonstrating and carrying out wet wrapping, recruiting to current research studies going on in the department and child and family education to support patients and families to care for their skin.

Substantial experience as a Registered Sick Children’s Nurse / Registered Nurse Child branch/adult nurse with experience in Paediatrics and within dermatology is essential. Experience within allergy would be desirable.
