Deputy Home Manager - RGN - Elderly Nursing Home - Hereford, West Midlands - Salary up to £38,000 per annum

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

I am presently recruiting for an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join this large, privately owned elderly care home as Deputy Home Manager. The service provides elderly nursing and specialist dementia care to individuals over the age of 65 including those with specialist neurological care needs. You will be joining a well-established team of nursing staff and healthcare assistants and as Deputy Manager you will be heading the team and providing clinical, professional and personal support of the highest standard.

My client is a well-respected service which forms part of one of the country's most recognisable healthcare providers across the private sector. The home itself is well known in the local area for the outstanding levels of care which they constantly strive to maintain and improve. As Deputy Home Manager, you will be providing clinical guidance and mentorship to all junior members of the healthcare team; including nurses, healthcare assistants and students. Experienced in a similarly complex care setting you will be proficient in all clinical competencies and confident in leading a team, providing mentorship and covering all managerial tasks in the absence of the Home Manager. The home delivers care to elderly residents who have age related illness along wide specialist dementia care in the separate EMI unit.

The role of the Deputy Home Manager RGN is:

•Ensure the highest standards of care are delivered with dignity and respect
•Develop, review and update care plans
•Comply with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines
•Ensure medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered
•Ensure all relevant policies and procedures are read, understood are adhered to by all staff.
•Provide clinical leadership & supervision for the healthcare staff
•Participate in the induction and training of all new staff on the unit
•Supervise and monitor standards of care and take appropriate action to improve standards when required
•Ensure all clinical documentation is well maintained and filed in the appropriate places

As a Deputy Home Manager RGN you will have:

•Experience in a similar setting (Hospital or Nursing Home)
•A general nursing qualification (RGN) with strong clinical skills
•Current registration with the NMC
•The legal right to work in the UK
