Cambian Community Care provides specialist care for people with a learning disability and accompanying complex needs or challenging behaviour.
Formed in 2004, Cambian Community Care (formally Woodleigh Care) has developed a strong reputation for the quality of its services. We currently have thirteen residential homes, soon to be fifteen, one supported living service (over three sites) and an assessment and treatment unit and continue to expand to meet strong demand.
We wish to recruit a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the management of our residential service in Liversedge.
Within this role, you would report to the Registered Manager and assist with the day to day running of the service, including the management and supervision of the staff team of about 40 people. You would also be responsible for the management of all aspects of the home in the manager’s absence.
You will work mainly Monday to Friday though should be willing to undertake some weekend working at times. You would work a mixture of supernumerary shifts within office hours and a mixture of shifts acting as a team leader, depending upon the needs of the service, you may look to work three shifts out of five on the shop floor.
You will also share some on call duties in this role.
Deputy Manager - CCC
This service accommodates nine adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The service comprises of shared communal living quarters in the main house and two individual self-contained flats.
The adults within this service have complex needs and can present challenging behaviour. They also have mixed abilities and are individually supported to attend college, supported employment and other activities.
You will have significant experience of working with this client group, have worked in a supervisory or managerial role for at least two years and be looking to develop your career within the sector.
The successful candidate must either hold or be prepared to work towards NVQ level 4 Registered Managers award or equivalent recognised qualification. You would also already be in receipt of or need to undertake BILD accredited crisis intervention training.
The salary package shall be £19,000 to £23,000 and the annual leave entitlement shall be thirty two days, including bank holidays.
