Deputy Manager (RGN or RMN) - Nursing Home - Eastbourne, East Sussex - Salary £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

This prestigious service is a 60 bedded nursing home, specialising in providing the very highest standard of nursing care for the elderly, delivered with dignity and respect by our friendly and experienced staff. My client are currently looking for a dedicated Deputy Manager (RGN or RMN qualified) to join their team. At this Nursing Home they assist residents to live a full life by involving them in the decision making which affects them directly.

As the Deputy Home Manager you have responsibility for assisting in the management of the Centre and our team. As part of the management team you will have responsibility for ensuring that the home operates successfully ensuring the best possible care is provided.

My client's philosophy is to create a secure, relaxed happy and homely atmosphere for the residents to live in and for the staff to work in. They specialise in providing quality nursing and residential care for the elderly, and also offer provision for those living with dementia. It is their aim to preserve the self-respect of those who depend on the support of others.

As a working Deputy, you should adopt a "Hands on Approach", working with the Nursing & Care Assistant teams to apply the highest standards of modern and professional practice, to ensure that all the needs of the Residents are individually catered for, with particular emphasis for emotional, spiritual, nursing and physical requirements.

You will have full responsibility for the staffing of the units, to ensure that all aspects of care are met to the high standards required by the Company, ensuring that the Homes Policies and Procedures are carried out and to take an active role in inducting new staff. Ensuring that instructions are implemented, complying always as a minimum with NMC legislation, and the Care Standards Act 2000 and CQC regulations.

As a Deputy Manager (RGN or RMN), you will have:

•An RGN or RMN nursing qualification
•A current registration with the NMC
•The legal right to work in the UK
