Search Consultancy is looking to recruit a Registered Mental Health Nurse on behalf of small to medium sized nursing home in the Stoke on Trent area of Staffordshire.

The Home is currently undergoing changes to ensure it is fully complaint with all CQC national standards. The Home looking for forward thinking nurses to develop their status in the area. They are committed to providing the highest quality of life and care based on each resident's personal needs, abilities and preferences.
The features and services available include physiotherapists, outings and GP visits or visits to healthcare professionals. These help to keep residents mobile and alert and to enable them to enable residents to maintain their hobbies.

The Home offers care and support for elderly residents with Dementia and Physical disabilities. We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager support the home manager and ensure the home is strives towards exceptional standards. The Home has recently been accredited the Investors in People award which recognises best practises and achievements.

A Deputy Manager will be expected to:

- Provide clinical support to Home Manager
- Supervise the staff
- Manage rotas and shifts
- Be accountable for the running of the home
- Keeping documentation up to date
- Supernumerary work
- Clinical skills such as dressings, catheterisation and taking blood

This is a full time permanent position on day shifts. On day shifts, you will be working 3 - 4 days per week and up to 36 hours per week. That involves 3 - 4 long day shifts per week. The fixed days are between Sunday and Saturday of every week. The deputy manager will be expected to take over in the Home Managers absence.
Annual salaries are £30,000.

A Deputy Manager must have:

- A professional nursing qualification - Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health
- A valid NMC pin number
- Experience in a nursing home with elderly service users.
- Experience managing a nursing home
- An NVQ in Leadership and Management is preferred.
