Job Description

Right now, we’re looking for an inspirational deputy theatre manager, who is a talented innovator who can help to support the theatre manager to deliver clinical excellence.

The role will be to achieve continuous development in all aspects of theatre services. You will develop, implement and monitor working processes and policies.

Role Overview
It is an exciting stage in Nuffield Brentwood’s development as it is refurbishing the full theatre suite and when complete will have 3 laminar flow theatre and one state of the art digital theatre.
This challenging and exciting role will encompass the development of new services in our new Digital Theatre, and the management of the theatre suite which has four fully equipped theatres, Endoscopy Unit, Recovery and Anaesthetics, providing high quality healthcare services in numerous specialities including General, Bariatrics, Cosmetic surgery & reconstructive surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Gynaecology, Urology.

As Deputy Theatre Manager, you will assume responsibility for the leadership and management of this busy and fast-paced environment, whilst maintaining and developing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, in the absence of the theatre manager. As a registered practitioner, you should therefore be able to demonstrate extensive acute surgical experience, with highly developed communication and people management skills, and a focus on leadership and the continued development of services, whist ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of patient care. A specialist clinical area of interest, and insight into private healthcare services would be advantageous.
