An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced dietitians to become part of the dynamic and proactive Cardiovascular Health Service (CHS) team at Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust. The Trust provides an internationally renowned tertiary cardiology and cardiothoracic clinical service and has a strong track record in both clinical and basic sciences research. The CHS has been selected as one of the top ten programmes across the UK for the British Heart Foundation / British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation “Celebrating Cardiac Award”

For this challenging and fulfilling post we are seeking to recruit enthusiastic individuals with sound knowledge and understanding of the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease
The Cardiovascular Health & Rehabilitation programme provides care to patients who have been discharged from hospital and are attending the cardiac health and rehabilitation programme. It includes patients with cardiac disease, heart failure as well as those with ICDs.

You will be a Registered Dietitian with relevant clinical experience within cardiology services. You will need to demonstrate experience in delivering cardiac prevention and rehabilitation, although you do not need to have worked within a cardiac rehabilitation service. You will need to be very enthusiastic about this area of work as well as being self motivated, possess good organisational skills, and be able to work alone and as part of a team.

In conjunction with the multi-skilled CHS team you will be responsible for providing expert clinical practice. The post holder will also act as a resource to other professionals on cardiovascular disease and associated treatments and issues. You will be taking part in ongoing audit and research activities to maintain quality care provision. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will need to be committed to sharing of good practice, development of robust professional networks and support of colleagues.
