Due to changes within Dietetic Department at Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, as a result of internal promotions and maternity leaves, an exciting opportunity has arisen for 3 Band 5 Dietitians to join our team.
Two positions will be permanent and one will be Fixed Term/Secondment for 9-12 months.
You will gain skills in various clinical areas including Respiratory, Care of the Elderly, Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics and Gastroenterology to name just a few. You will be working along side a team of 5 other B5 Dietitians covering inpatients and outpatients at the Royal Derby Hospital.
There will also be the opportunity to rotate into the community setting to develop your knowledge and skills further.
In addition to the above you will be delivering talks and displays to both staff and patients on various health related topics. We are a friendly department of 50 plus dietitians, Dietetic Assistants and Clerical Staff split across the acute and community sites.
We have an established student training programme for A, B and C placements and encourage innovation, CPD and professional development.
The Dietetic services have good clerical support and access to excellent IT and library facilities. Derby is situated in the East Midlands with excellent train and road links up and down the country. The Peak district is on the door step.
