Disability Assessor – Occupational Therapist - West Midlands - £34,000

My client is seeking to recruit a number of Disability Assessor's to work within a field based team if you are a Registered Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge this could be the one for you.

Full training will be provided and hours of work will be primarily Monday to Friday. (9-5 initially) with occasional Saturday morning clinics.

Starting salary is £34,000 with additional benefits including paid holidays, life insurance and company pension

This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to get involved in something exciting a new, the role will offer an abundance of opportunities to learn new skills as well as build on those existing expertise.

As an Occupational Therapist in the role of a Disability Assessor you will have the following duties:

  • Undertake an assessment of an individual who is making a claim taking into account all of the information presented including any supporting evidence
  • Carry out a comprehensive review and analysis to enable you to complete a robust, structured report which will then be presented
  • This report will contain a detailed history of the claimant condition(s) including information gathered on the functional impact of their health condition or impairment on their daily living and mobility, their current medication and treatment
  • You will provide a full justification explaining how you came to these conclusions from the evidence gathered and define the probable timescales over which a health condition or impairment may affect the claimant

Job Requirements


Qualified Occupational Therapist with a current registration 
1 years post qualification experience

Good IT skills

Strong Report writing and Assessment skills
