The Surgical teams across level 7 are looking to recruit to 3 specialty doctor assistant posts. Successful candidates will be allocated to a surgical team who they will work with on a daily basis. It is an expectation that the Doctors Assistant allocated to a specialty team will be involved in the care of all the specialty patients across the trust. Prospective candidates should either possess NVQ level 3 qualification or be prepared to work towards this. Essential clinical skills include venepuncture, cannulation, ECG recording & urethral catheterisation. Proven Knowledge of surgical patients and their pathways would be an advantage however not essential. A basic level of IT will be required as access to several systems is an integral part of the role.
