Job Description

We are one of the largest specialist mental health and learning disabilities trusts in the country, with an annual income of £320m and a workforce of some 6,700 staff operating from around 160 sites in Durham, Teesside, North Yorkshire and York and Selby. We provide a range inpatient and community services to 2m people living in County Durham, the Tees Valley, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire. We also provide additional specialist services to other parts of Northern England.

We deliver our services by working in partnership with eight local authorities and clinical commissioning groups, a wide range of voluntary organisations, as well as service users, their carers and the public. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, committed and self motivated individual to join a Community Mental Health Team specialising in early interventions in psychosis on a permanent basis.

As a multi-disciplinary team (CPN, OT, SW, Psychologist) we provide secondary care services to the residents of Harrogate, Hambleton and richmondshire who have suspected first episode psychosis. Duties would include; assessment, implementing and evaluating care, sign posting, collaborative working both within the team and with partner agencies. While working to social inclusion following recovery principals.

Applicants should have post registration experience, with some community experience would be preferred but not essential. An interest in this client group and family therapy /cbt qualifications would be an advantage or willingness to work towards these.
