We are looking for a full time enthusiastic, experienced, proficient, emergency nurse practitioner (ENP) for our consultant nurse led minor injury unit (MIU) meeting the full scope of our service. We also welcome applications from trainee ENPs who have undertaken an ENP educational programme and are working towards completion of their clinical assessment competencies for full scope of practice.

Around 36k patients attend the MIU annually. A nurse led lower limb DVT (deep vein thrombosis) pathway also operates in the unit.

The applicant must have experience in working in an Emergency Department (ED) or MIU/Walk in Centre of which 6 months must be in the previous year.

The post holder will be expected to:
 Function autonomously in assessing, diagnosing, treating and discharging patients across the full scope as detailed in the person specification.
 Manage patients as per DVT pathway
 Non minor injury patients: prioritise & provide monitoring and support whilst awaiting emergency ambulance transfer or redirect to ED or GP services.
 Work flexibly around shifts to ensure that the MIU is operational 24/7.
At interview the applicant will be asked to present examples from their clinical portfolio to demonstrate their scope of practice.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role.
