Job Description

There has never been a better time to join the Emergency Department Team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. In April 2015 the Emergency Department was rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission who described our services Safe, Effective, Caring and Well led. This hospital was rated in the top 5 Acute NHS Trusts as one of the best places to work according to staff in 2014.

Within a large teaching hospital we are an Emergency Department and Major Trauma centre with a dedicated 24-hour paediatric emergency facility. The department delivers high quality compassionate care to approximately 95,000 patients a year. Every member of the team has a responsibility to safeguard and protect both adults and children and the trust is committed to all safeguarding legislation.

We are currently expanding our workforce and are looking for nurses who have previously worked in the emergency setting or have demonstrable experience and skills they can bring to our growing team. We are also looking for Nurses that are Dual Field or have a Registered Mental Health Nursing background.
