Family Support Team Leader
Salary: Up to a maximum of £42,244 per annum depending on experience
HOURS: 375 per week, flexible to meet the needs of the organisation

Providing free specialist palliative care through a range of services to the people of Mid Staffordshire since 1989, Katharine House Hospice exists to offer the best care so that people in our community, affected by progressive illnesses, can live life to the full. Primarily a voluntary organisation, we are supported by donations from the local community and the services of over 600 volunteers and 230 staff.
The family support team forms part of the hospices’ holistic, specialist palliative care team, providing care both within the hospice and in people’s homes. The team comprises of counsellors, social workers, complementary therapists, and Chaplaincy and has the support of an administrative assistant.
We are looking to recruit a motivated health; spiritual care or social care professional to lead and develop our well established Family Support Team. The role is divided between professional practice and management of the team on a 70%:30% split, organised in a flexible manner in response to the needs of patients. The post holder must have experience of leading a team and also be able to demonstrate current competency in their professional role.
