Female support worker - Athersley area of Barnsley - 15- 20 hour

We are looking to recruit a calm, patient, enthusiastic, and self-driven female support worker to support one female in her own home in Barnsley. You will need to be forward thinking and have a real interest in music, socialising & creative projects. You will be supporting her to maintain her tenancy and to engage in the local community as well as working closely with management, the local mental health services and the Intensive support team.

You will need to follow strict instruction on how to support this lady as a consistent approach is very important for her own wellbeing. You will also need to record and report in a detailed way and be able to lone work and do sleep ins as required.

Ideally you will have experience supporting people with complex needs and challenging behaviours, including mental health and learning disabilities, however this is not an essential requirement as training will be given to all successful candidates.

If you can work in a people orientated role, are a caring confident person who enjoys enabling people to achieve their life goals and aspirations we would love to hear from you. Experience within the care sector is an advantage but not a necessity as full training will be provided. You will be required to work on a rota basis which will include mornings, evenings, weekends, and also sleep in duties.
