About Mencap
At Mencap we work in partnership with people with a learning disability. We do this by providing high-quality, flexible services that support people, including young adults, to live as independently as possible in their own homes and in the community.

Role Description
We have opportunities for 2 Female Support Workers to join us in supporting adults who require different levels of support across our services in New Malden. We support 3 people in our registered service, 2 of the people we support have a learning disability and the third person has a physical disability. We also provide outreach support where we support 1 male and 1 female in their own homes.

Joining us on a permanent contract of 37.5 hours per week, the successful candidates will be working shifts on a rota basis. Shifts will be spread across the weekdays, weekends and bank holidays including mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins. Shifts may vary depending on activities planned and people's needs but may include and not limited to 07:30 am to 15:00, 09:00 am to 15:15 to 22:30, 15:00 to 19:00 and sleep in shifts are from 22:302 to 07:30 am.

The people we support enjoy going out into the community, attending day centers, pottery classes, reflexology, music classes and Jacuzzi activities. The support we is tailored to each individual and our support teams provide as little or as much support required by each individual to enable them to achieve the things that matter the most to them. The support we provide includes personal care, medication, holidays, outings, medical appointments, cooking, cleaning or managing finances.

Previous experience is not needed as all training will be provided and you will be paid for your time while going through the training period. Due to the needs of the people we support, this post is open to female candidates only

Driving is not essential, but would be beneficial for day trip support
