Job Description

As a Care UK GP you have the opportunity to help shape and deliver services in in any number of front line services that we provide for our partners including; Walk-in Centres, NHS Practices as well as Minor Injury Units and Urgent Care Centres.

As a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, the post holder will provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients and make timely decisions regarding future management. You will also provide a motivation and professional development to other healthcare staff, patients and carers whilst having active involvement in Clinical Governance Responsible To Service Manager Key Responsibilities You will be receptive to the needs of patients, relatives and carers at all time looking at quality outcomes for all. We require General Practitioners who are accountable, and can manage clinical care and facilitate general management through partnership with the practice management team. We will give you a chance to work in an environment that is supported by clinical peers and robust governance. Skills & Experience To be successful in the this role you will :-
•Experience of working as a General Practitioner
•Willingness to provide mentoring and support to all other Clinicians where appropriate.
•Evidence of continuing professional development
•Case management experience
•Supporting and leading innovation
•Timely record keeping.
•Excellent communication and listening skills both over the phone and face to face
•Inclusion in the GMC Register
•On a CCG Medical Performance List
•Evidence of continuing professional development
•An up to date understanding of modern primary care and its delivery out of hours
•Ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care
•Provide appropriate health education and advice to patients and carers to enable self management and choice
•Maintain clinical records either written or computer based in line with professional code and requirement
•Carry out appropriate administrative and other duties in line with the needs of APMS contract and QOF

We offer flexibility with the sessions you undertake, however we are looking in particular to cover the following times;

•Every other Thursday Clacton overnight GP shift (weeks 2 & 4)
•Friday ANP 2000-2359
•ANP Colchester Base Shifts on Saturday & Sunday 0800-1659
•Saturday ANP Colchester overnight
•ANP Clacton Base 1930-2359 Monday, Thursday & Friday

Qualifications •MBChB.
•Current Resuscitation certificate
•Experience of Medical, Surgical, A&E, Mental Health and Paediatrics
•Current HEP B immunity certificate
