BBMC is creating a sustainable method of working within SPQS (Somerset’s unique version of QOF) which enables us to continue to provide a safe, caring environment for patients. We are in the process of establishing an Enhanced Health Care Professional team fit for 21st century living.
We have recently added to our existing team of GP partners, salaried GPs and LTC nurse specialists, two Primary Care Practitioners (Paramedics), a Clinical Pharmacist, employed by the Practice, and we have a linked Consultant Paediatrician. We are currently piloting secondment of MSK practitioners from the local Trust to work within the Practice and are working towards a further pilot of enhanced Mental Health links by having a MH worker holding sessions at the Practice for direct referral. We have a strong management team who are involved in Federation work, Sustainable Practice and Quality Improvements in Somerset.
We have purpose built premises consisting of Burnham Medical Centre and Berrow Health Campus which provides us with a good income as we are landlords for two pharmacies, the Mulberry Centre an elderly mental health centre, the Belmont Rooms an adult mental health centre, an NHS dentist and room rental to PIPs, private chiropodist and osteopath.
We are aware that we need to make changes to the way we work to ensure the wellbeing of ourselves and our hardworking team. We would welcome GPs interested in joining us to contact us for further details.
