South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) is part of the National Health Service (NHS). We serve the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire. This area covers approximately 3,500 square miles with a population of over four million.
The service that SCAS provides has gone far beyond simply transporting people to the nearest hospital. Today, we provide a single point of access for people who are ill, injured or concerned about their health. As well as clinical assessment, sign-posting and advice services, SCAS also works closely with clinical networks and trauma team to provide the best possible care for those with critical or life threatening conditions.

We are recruiting Graduate Paramedics who have completed their Paramedic Degree and will be in position to start early into 2017, to work in our progressive, innovative and caring Trust, responding to accident, emergency and urgent care requirements of our diverse population.
Based at an ambulance resource centre as part of a team, our Paramedics work shifts and attend scenes of emergency and urgent care situations, from transporting a sick baby, to helping an elderly person, to dealing with a multi vehicle accident. The location of care can vary from someone’s home, to the side of the motorway and anything in between, are you ready?

Do you have:
•A full valid UK driving licence (including Category B and Category C1 – over 3500kg with no more than 3 points. (You must have as a minimum a Provisional C1 on your licence in order for your application to be shortlisted).
•A category C1 element to your driving licence (over 3500kg) (minimum of provisional entitlement must be held at the point of application and full entitlement obtained at least one month prior to starting the training)?
•A paramedic science degree that is recognised by the HCPC?
•Able to commit to a 6 week (full-time) training programme (paid) and on-going shift work?
