Gracewell of Sutton on the Westmead Road is a purpose built state of the art 83 bed home, due to open in Autumn 2016 and we will be looking for a team to join us in October.

The Head of Housekeeping is responsible for providing leadership support to the Housekeeping and laundry operations team in directing tasks as well as performing hands on housekeeping and laundry activities when required.

As Head of Housekeeping you will be responsible for developing work assignments for housekeeping and laundry team members and supervising all aspects of housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure they meet Gracewell Healthcare standards.

  • Taking ownership will be for recruitment and training of new team members and you will provide coaching and develop team members with regular 1:1 meetings and appraisals.

  • Able to manage a team, supervisory or management experience.

  • Good organisational skills and able to work on own initiative

  • IT skills, office, word, excel and learn the payroll system

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks

  • Written and verbal skills to communicate with others

  • Caring and compassionate attitude

  • Responsible for the management and control of budgets.
