A small care home in Southend on Sea currently has an opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in elderly and dementia care to work as Head of Care.
This purpose built nursing home provides specialist dementia care to older people, with extensive support structures in place to ensure resident safety, comfort and happiness.
Applicants for this Head of Care position should meet the following criteria;
- Registered Adult/General Nurse (RGN) or Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC pin
- Experienced in elderly and dementia care with good knowledge and understanding of the complex requirements involved
- Strong clinical leadership skills with a positive and proactive approach
- Passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of others
In this role you will provide effective leadership to the care and nursing teams in the home, supervising and undertaking the planning, delivery and evaluation of resident care and ensuring the highest possible standards of care are consistently delivered.
The rate of pay offered for this position is £14 to £15 per hour, with working hours of 40 per week on day shifts.
90% of your time will be spent undertaking clinical duties “on the floor" with 10% of your time spent supporting the manager with supernumerary duties.
